What to know about our Moon motion sensor
About 3 metres in optimal conditions, with a detection angle around 120°. It's made to trigger as you approach, not detect movement across a whole room.
It lights up a closet, a cabinet, a narrow hallway, or a stairwell really well. It is not meant to replace a ceiling light. Think of it as task light for small, specific areas.
It uses a standard double sided pad. For drywall, most customers remove it without damage. For painted wood or delicate finishes, test in an inconspicuous spot first. The magnetic backing means once the base is up, you can pop the light off freely.
With typical motion mode use (triggered a dozen or so times a day), expect several months per charge. The sensor keeps it off most of the time, which is why battery life holds up.
